Why the Dread Beats a City Centre Night Out

Edinburgh has great rock venues — Bannermans, Stramash, Whistle Binkies are all worth a visit. But none of them offer what the Dread does: a dedicated two-level rock venue running every single weekend since 1972, with pub-level drink prices, free parking, and a crowd that genuinely loves the music. Your ticket covers the live show and the rock nightclub until 3am — all for the price of one round in the city centre. Twenty minutes on the train from Edinburgh Waverley. Scotland's longest-running rock club. It's worth the trip.
